Register Me

First Time Visitor?

I have never registered, and I’m an AFS participant or family member who would like to register in Find an AFSer.

  1. If you have never registered in Find Your AFS Friends, click the “Register Me” link on the Find Your AFS Friends homepage. You will be taken to the “Registration” section.

  2. In the “Registration” section, fill out all the fields. You must agree to the privacy policy and click the “Yes – I agree to the above policy” box before you can go on to the next section. Select a question from the “Security Question” field and enter the answer in the “Your Answer” field that will help you remember your password.

  3. Click the “Next” button which takes you to the Personal Information page. Fill out all the fields and your AFS affiliation (name, email address, country of residence, personal website, volunteer, participant/returnee, etc.).

  4. You will be taken to the “Registration” section, which asks you to fill out your AFS affiliation. Fill out all the sections that apply to you (volunteers and staff, host families, participant/returnees).

Update My Record

You may change or correct any information in your record. You may also delete your record if you wish.

To update your record, you must first enter the system by using a password, which is your e-mail address along with a secret password that you select. (Note that passwords are case sensitive.)

After you enter your password, you will be taken to your “Registration,” where you can edit your information

Find an AFSer: Search By Name, Country or Year

Are you eager to reconnect with an AFSer but can’t remember crucial details? (Was he on staff or a volunteer? What is her new married name? What was their home country?) You can search our registry of AFS veterans after entering only a few details (the year, the country, her maiden name, his nickname, and so on). Enter at least two but no more than four details in the boxes below, then click on the search button. Our system will list every name in our registry that matches your criteria.
